both my very favourite film directors (and this interview between them in 'the believer' is genius) have new movies out soon. I need to see them now, now, now!

There is 'Tabloid'

and 'the cave of forgotten dreams'

I won't be able to sleep until I see them. The best thing about the interview below is that they both talk about books they are reading.



Herzog has a film school program he is running as a one off I think and the best thing is it has a required reading list....

Suggested reading: The Warren Commission Report, Rabelais’ “Gargantua and Pantagruel”, “The Poetic Edda”, translated by Lee M. Hollander (in particular The Prophecy of the Seeress), Bernal Diaz del Castillo “True History of the Conquest of New Spain”.
