Who remembers Astro boy. I loved him so much but now I see how dark the story really was, a father who looses a child and copes with his loss by taking the boys skin and putting it over a robots body. He then becomes disenchanted with the child-robot and gives him away to the circus. I think I loved him all the more because his story was so different from the ones I was used to reading.

Tarepanda (たれぱんだ), which means "lazy" panda or "droopy" panda in Japanese, is a panda character who gets around by rolling, since it is so lazy. "Tare" means lying on the tummy or to slump/slouch. It loves to eat mochi (specifically suama) and relax in teacups.
