I love how all the characters in mad men are so messed up and unlikable and I think it is interesting how people seem to focus on Betty's character rather then Dons in this respect.

 I think one of the most interesting characters is Sally Draper. She reminds me of the women in the Richard Yeats book 'Easter Parade'. I remember her telling her psychiatrist that she now hides her anger and the psychiatrist telling her she was proud of her progress.I think it is the young Sally Draper that seems to illustrate the expectations and position of women in that world most accurately.
