'This is the most tragical thing that has ever happened to me'

mike bailey-gates takes really beautiful pictures and this one reminded me so much of Anne of Green Gables

And down the river's dim expanse
Like some bold seer in a trance,
Seeing all his own mischance--
With a glassy countenance
Did she look to Camelot.
And at the closing of the day
She loosed the chain, and down she lay;
The broad stream bore her far away,
The Lady of Shalott.

I love the part after she is forbidden to see Diana and says, 'Farewell, my beloved friend. Henceforth, we must be strangers living side by side... but my heart will be ever faithful to thee'.

 Jimmy Stewart and Norma Shearer squeezed into a tiny row boat
