Richard Misrach’s “Destroy This Memory”: photographs of graffiti left behind in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, is heartbreaking. I’m glad I went to the museum alone so no one I knew could see me cry. The fact that there are no people present in the photos only make it more haunting, more painful. We’re so desensitized to death…but loss is another thing entirely.
